We had a 1-week project of character designing for the first week for the Suria x KLsketch competition for Merdeka day.

For that, we had a small workshop where we had to design a character based on some random characteristics in 15 minutes

After that, I did some research to get inspiration and try to attempt the other categories of the competitions. I attempted patriotic, cultural, ghost, hero, Malaysian taste, and flora.

These were my inspirations for cultural and patriotic.

And for fauna, I discovered the Sabah high pitcher plant which I wanted to characterize and here are my references.

And here are my characters

One of my OC in cultural clothes.

ree

My OC as Loki for super hero.

ree

A chibi version of my OC in patriotic clothes.

ree

A Nasi Lemak monster for Malaysian Taste which as I did not submit to the competition since the other one was better.

ree

A Durian monster for Malaysian Taste again and this is the one I submitted along with the others.

ree

A high pitcher creature for Fauna.

And lastly, I corrected the ghost character from before and ta-dah.
