So today we had the Animate workshop. As expected Animate was different from Toon Boom and it was harder to use than Toon Boom. But well here's my trials...
This one was made using pose to pose method and I also did some squash and stretch on it and I tried to make it move in a perspective view.
My second try was straight ahead and yeah I didn't took my time really to do it so it looks weird haha.
And this is my 3rd trial where I used the "tween" movement which doesn't work as smoothly as in Toon Boom when you use "pegs". And also in Animate you have to save it as a symbol and in Toon Boom it can be done directly after you animate it.
And yeah the last trial was this one which I used the "motion tween" and made him walk in a sort of curvy way. I also did the animation of the little guy as a symbol then added it to the scene.
Well so far I found Animate a lot more daunting to use than Toon Boom, a few of the issues might be because of my computer or just may be because of my lack of practice on Adobe Animate. But for sure it's harder to use, in Toon Boom you don't have to add keyframes all the time, it gets added automatically, also when using peg to move an animation across the screen is a lot smoother in Toon Boom. I also got problems when exporting in Adobe Animate and well you can also see here that I screen recorded to post it here and this was because when exporting as gif, the ones that I used tween on was not displaying well and also wix was not reading them. Also I found Toon Boom a lot smoother to use when drawing and also my pressure sensitivity works better there, however this might also be just because of my computer or something.
