Today we learnt a little bit about how to create a character, whether it's a creature or human. We learned a little bit more about creature though. So yeah, we also learned about pokemon and where the inspiration to make the pokemons came from and it surprised me how they took inspiration from literally everything.
After that, based on what we learnt, we were told to group and make our own pokemon based on the cuture, mythologies, animals, ect ect
So the first thing that came in our mind were Dionysus and the Dodo bird from my country.

So yeah we tried to make a sort of pokemon based on Dionysus who is the god of grape harvest and wine making. He had curly hair and was the god of grapes, BAMM!!, he grapes for hair. And also because he was a greek god so to emphasis on that we gave him traditional greek clothes and an ancient wine glass. And we gave him a kind of drunk but happy and cute face.
So after that we decided that it's type will be fight and poison type and that the more it drinks, the more powerful it becomes.

And we didn't one to leave it one aside as we already developed it at the same time as the Dionysus one so this one is the Dodo one. So when searching online we found that the Dodo is a family of the Dinosaur Brachiosaurus which is the long neck Dinosaur. so we added that feature to the Dodo. Then we thought of Mauritius traditional genre of music which is Sega, and during these song girls would wear long flower dresses like what we did in the pokemon.
So this one it's type would be fighting and it will just fight by dancing around and hitting everything.
In this workshop I learned interesting stuffs that I can use when designing a creature specially and these might also be used to apply to human characters if possible. It'll be good to try at least. And this will be very useful for the motion project.
