Question on question, this was a fun exercise to do. We were grouped and asked to write down 1 main question about sugar on a piece of majong paper then pass it to another group. Then the other group were to write a bunch of question related to that one main question and again passing to the next group so that they branch out more questions until you get back your piece of paper.
After that we had to select 3 interesting questions and write a statement about it. the 3 questions that interested me were:
Will it bring us negative effects if we didn't consume it?
What are the other uses uses besides consumption?
Can we make sugar consumption less unhealthy?
Then my statement was "I want to understand if sugar is really that bad that we need to stop consuming it or even produce it."
Question on question helps to get better ideas compared to concept mapping. However the mistakes that I might make while doing this method would be to write down questions that I already know the answers to, which I realized that I've been doing through this exercise. And also this exercise help me realized that I am not expanding my research far enough and that's why I'm getting to the same "mainstream" ideas about sugar.
