Motion Project: Research

Here's a little bit on my research on sugar and how I got the my ideas.

Here's how I wrote down all my research briefly. while researching I found out that sugar is really addictive and I've also found out that the human body need sugar as a fuel. If we stop consuming sugar it is said that we can even get pain, nausea, and flu-like symptoms. More over sugar has a lot of benefits like it gives us energy and it has a lot of medicinal properties and is even being used in some medicines.

Based on that I realized that sugar is like being "misused" by some people, for example many people consume sugar and do not get any problems with it but only those who over consume it that get diseases and gain fats. So basically we are over consuming sugar and we put the blame on sugar that it is bad when we are to blame for over consuming it.

From that I got the idea of an animation whereby I will show different people with a little sugar creature attached to them. The little creature will be very happy when they are kids and these people will be consuming sugar in different quantities (therefore feeding their little creature differently) and this will change the little creature, making it violent when over consuming sugar and through the animation I will show try to show the different diseases that sugar can give you like for example diabetes where the creature will be biting on one of the person's wound or something.

And well that's all for my first idea.

Moving on me, my brother and Dhanesha, we re did the question on question classwork and tried to get some ideas out of it. We did get some interesting questions but no idea really sparked out of it.

So I had to try the more boring one which is the concept map. Well it was pretty hard to make and it ended up really messy but basically when I was doing it I realized that the sugar industry has had a lot of improvements and through the history of sugar you can really see that change.

I tried to write down a comparison of before and now and here are the changes. from this I could only relate sugar to evolution and was thinking maybe make a video that talks about the evolution and that has become my little spark for my second idea.

So after I presented my 2 ideas, well... , ...one and a half idea, to my lecturer, she said that the 2 ideas are still a bit common and was literally sugar, however she suggested that I keep exploring them and make the video literally about sugar for both but add a little something to it to put a hidden message in the video. I found the idea really interesting but I need to research more and find out what message about what I can put in the 2 different ideas.
