Motion Project: Research & Storyboards

So I did some more research on what happens exactly when you consume sugar and I found that sugar which is sucrose get converted into glucose and fructose when it goes through your stomach.

And glucose is what gets converted into energy and when there's too much it get converted saved energy in muscles, liver and fats.

Fructose however becomes fats directly when it reach the liver and when there too much, the liver gets fats leaks which goes on and on into the vein and the liver like a vicious cycle and that's what cause diabetes, viceral fats that makes us into apple shape, heart diseases and so on.

The fats from fructose also then affects insulin which is responsible for converting glucose into energy and saved energy. therefore glucose doesn't gets converted into energy and this rise blood sugar level and as it is not being used it also becomes fats.

So then I tried to relate everything to elements of my idea and made 2 more storyboards.

Both are basically the same idea just with some little changes and after showing this to my lecturer, she told me that the idea was still too abstract and still too far from the main idea of sugar and it has to be more literal for the audience to be able to understand it immediately.

What I did this time was try to make some creatures for the glucose and fructose and try to characterize them somehow.

Here's the final characters I chose for my idea and I also wrote the main aspects on the left so that I don't get off board and out of context again.

And here's my first idea which is a lot more literal and I also tried to design the background inspired from pictures of real liver and muscles. And in this one it shows literally the glucose and fructose how enters the body and how the fructose turns into fatty acids that affects insulin.

This is my second idea, this one isn't too literal and it's I only characterized the insulin and left the glucose and fructose as a substance. In this one it will show the body as a factory. It's a little bit inspired by the video POUR 585 that I watched the way that all characters will walk. This one however is better than the first idea as it will show the liver bursting because of too much fructose.

And this is my 3rd idea which I tried to keep the idea of the gun but this time I made the insulin only 1 person and wearing uniform like if he's working in a nuclear factory and I also characterized the muscles tissues. This one was even more inspired by the POUR 585 video. This idea came to me while making the second idea because I was thinking how I could keep the idea of the gun and I was also working on an idea that was inspired by the POUR 585 video so I just tried to copy it some more haha.

Well among all those three my lecturer preferred the 2nd one which is cool because it was medium level of difficulty to make for me.

So I already had my ideas ready to work on and stuff but I had to re do my concept map because the first one was bad and didn't really had cross links, so here's my new concept map
