Statement of Intent
Design is a great tool for communication, with the manipulation of text and image it creates an experience that helps visualize facts and ideas, bring focus to certain things, organize information and data, and pick the interest of people. Therefore, design could be used to create opportunities for impact or solve certain issues of the society such as social inequity and sustainability by addressing them in creative and interesting ways.
Whether we like it or not, society is divided in many ways. Many people are stuck in a life of poverty, and they are never given the chance to get a better job even though they may have good skills. And this is all because of social inequity. Other than that sustainability is another issue that a lot of people are trying to solve. Design being a tool to create impact can help influence the mindset of people and promote sustainable practices.
Photo-bashing and illustrations are 2 methods that can achieve this. But design is not only limited to digital, user-experience can also be created by practicing crafts and exploring other technologies in an installation that would speak more to the audience. The target audience should be teenagers and young adults as they have more concern about these issues.

Gradshow Identity

I expanded the idea for the battery and made some research to support the idea and this is all that I got.

After that, I sketched out some ideas based on the mindmap above. Some were just doodles that didn't bring me anywhere but help me to further develop the other ideas.
This is the one that I chose with some more explanation and some development of the logo on illustrator. The mascot is to break the formalities a little bit and create a more friendly and fun atmosphere instead of a stressful one.

Here is the final logo with more explanation.

And the mood board I made for the brand identity.

This is the mascot that I tried to make on Illustrator, personally, I think it was not looking good in vector and was time-consuming to do so I stopped and was thinking to try to redo it on clip studio instead.
