Evolving Magazine

multi2.png

Evolving was a university project that investigated the evolution of guitars and where these guitars stand nowadays diving into interviews with professional and amateur guitarists. The biggest challenge faced during this project was connecting to professional guitarists (as many were busy and could not conduct the interview) and also finding royalty-free images to use in the magazine.

The fonts used for the magazine were Aileron for the headers because of its boldness, Montserrat for the body paragraph because of its modern look, and lastly play for how contrasting it is amongst these 2 and still have a modern look to it for intro paragraphs and footer.

The colors used were mostly grey and white to help the images pop more.

Photomanipulation

The images were edited  to make them consistent in the magazine.

Photo Replication

Other images had to be replicated in photoshop with digital painting for failure to find royalty-free alternatives for specific images.

The final result was a small magazine of 30 pages, that compiled all the information obtained during the research together with images received from the guitarists interviewed,  and some of my own.

People who helped with this project were Brett Larson, Ezanee Ezran Bin Ziad, Jonas Wisner, Subharaj Das Gosh, Gilbert Nemo, Philip Lange, and Vince Caruana who provided the images.
