Fibervis Branding

Fibervis was a corporate brand identity for an optical fiber startup company that was to operate in both Malaysia and UK. It was challenging to come up with a good concept for the logo but after discussions with the client we decided to go with the idea of a cross-sectional view of the cable that seems like a vortex to show the company's adventurousness and aim to push forward and grow. 

Explored Ideas

The name was previously Fibersights but the client had to change it during the process of making the logo because of copyright issues.

Making The Icon

The 3D looking "vortex" shape was created using the transform effect on adobe illustrator. The main shape was then traced out for a cleaner simplistic look. And after some experimentations with the placement we got the Fibervis icon mark.

The second brand graphic is more decorative and more and can be used on cover, packaging and many more.

Both brand graphics were inspired from the icon mark of Fibervis so that it looks familiar and work as a supporting element to make the brand more recognizable.

Brand Graphics

The brand graphics shares the idea that the company focuses on sensory application of the optical fiber for industrial usage. The first one is more subtle and can be used as supporting elements to make the brand more recognizable almost anywhere.

Brand Colours

Blue was preferred for the brand colours as it give a professional, bold and reliable look to the company. Blue is also closely related to tech and data, which Fibervis is all about as they uses optical fiber technology as a sensory tool to gather data.
