CLASS
There was a class about marketing and we had a little marketing research to do as a small group activity about a brand. The brand that I’ve got was H&M and here’s our research.

Then there was a sharing session by Melissa Chan who shared about her process, her sketches and mock ups and how it can be hard to design something simple as a lot of ideas get rejected. She also shared about her experience in working different places and freelancing.
THINGS
So after reflections I have decided to go towards the symbolism of knives in general in our modern days and try to come up with a conclusion about what most people think about knives or maybe I might find something more interesting to look at through that. So to do that I decided to make a survey and illustrate different knives and put knives in different context to see what is the first thing people think about while looking at the illustrations.
So I made these illustrations
Some of these illustrations were inspired from the superstition I read.
And here is the survey that I made
I also asked people to if they knew of any superstition and if they believe in them
GD MAP
After further reflection I decided to make the map placed behind another piece of paper because it was indeed more neat and aesthetic. However I also gotten feedback that the texture was overwhelming which I didn't realized while working with the same piece of work for a long time. So well I went back to the map on photoshop and tried to adjust the texture by lowering the opacity and using different layers with different blending modes to try to lighten places that I wanted on the paper.
Then of course I layout everything properly and this is the final outcome.

As for my 500 words I used the same textured crushed paper thing I did with photoshop and the same font but I made it look like an old letter where everything centred. And I also wrote the title 500 words reflection in between brackets so that it will look like an old letter or poem title.

And well that it for my GD Map for now.
