Hidden Plastics

Hidden plastic was made to inform or just remind people about how widely plastic is used in products that we tend to forget or simply ignore that it is made of plastic as it is not a single use plastic because after all, even products that are not single use plastic will one day end up in a landfill, so it is best to inform or remind people about our high consumption of plastic.

The project is a model of a living room as it is where most people have most common plastic items and it was made a 100% eco-friendly with only paper, cardboard, cotton cloth, cotton strings and toothpick as materials. The piece works together with an android app that scans and highlight the plastic objects in the model and make them clickable so that the audience can get more information based on the research made for the project.

Here's how it works:

  1. Read about the project and the instructions on the first card.

  2. Open your QR code scanner and scan the QR code on the second card.

  3. Go to the Google Drive link and download the app

  4. Install the app and allow camera on phone.

  5. Wait for the tracker to recognize the model.

  6. Refer to the Key on the first card to understand the different colors and categories.

  7. Click on each cube to get more information.
