So we watched that video from netflix about Olafur Eliasson. After watching it I got a lot of admiration for that man. The way he sees things is so different and the thing he does also, it really amazed me.

Basically one thing that he said that many people also said was that art is a mixture of nature and he demonstrated it well in the video how other people like Buckminster Fuller, Einar Thorsteinn and himself converted nature into an artwork. This also reminded me of our teachers who told us to always have our sketchbooks with us all the time. So basically it's about that being an artist, analyzing your surroundings and turn it into something, expressing yourself, your thoughts and share your experience.

Also that video opened my mind on what art is. I've learned other ways of making art and other ways to express yourself in a more efficient way. Olafur Eliasson's works from the video really had an impact on me, even if it was from a video. The way he sensitized people about the global warming with his work the Ice Watch for example. Putting those large icebergs in the middle of the street and making people interacting with them while it's melting. It's a really more powerful message there because people can actually see the icebergs melting everyday when they passing by and they can also see the amount of water that the icebergs leave behind it.

Another one of his work that he did that really impressed me was the one with the solar lamp. A very small object that he was made in batch and sold out to places around the world where they don't have electricity well and then gather all these people somewhere and make them light up their lamps. To me it like showing to people how powerful the sun is and how many people have taken like a piece of it during the day and it will still shine so bright during the next day.

Also another thing that I really liked in the video was how he showed that the daylight in every country is different, that is something that you can see and feel and you don't really realize it and it's like something that most people ignore. When he said it in the video and also showed it, I was like "that's something so obvious, how can I not have realized it".

Well overall it was a really great video and I've really enjoyed it. The most useful thing that I've learn is that it made me view art in a bigger perspective and showed me how we can break the limits of arts, and also it taught me to be more curious about my surroundings and try to see things differently in a more open minded way so that i can be a better designer.
