So we had a workshop about Chinese typography with Mr Tee

He taught us how to manipulate Chinese words, mix them with other languages, change the orientation of the some words in a readable way and mix or add some illustrations to them. of course it was a bit hard to understand what was going on by only looking at the pictures he showed us as I don't know Chinese but after he explained it was quite clear and I understood the basics.

After that he told us to apply what we learnt to any language and express ourselves.

So this is what we did. We wrote literally anything that came in our mind in any languages and we tried adding some illustrations as well. It was quite a bit hard to paint with the brush but we managed to do something out of it. Overall it was a very fun and good experience and I think if I can manage to understand Chinese words I should be able to come up with very original fonts/ lettering by combining the concept of Chinese typography with English or any languages.
