One urban sketcher that inspires me is Mark Jones. He is a licensed architect who has graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Also, one funny fact here is that his instructors taught him to always have an active sketchbook with him where he would record his ideas, inspirational quotes and designs just exactly what my instructor taught me too in yesterday's session.

The reason why I've gotten attracted to his work is because he uses coloured pencils, which is one of my favorite medium in art, for his sketches. He got used to this medium during a study program while he was at school. He also prefers to develop his project designs and details by hand and encourages other youngsters to do so too.

In yesterday's session the instructor told us that it is a better way to record our observations and ideas through sketches as we can highlight certain important things, express certain feelings or senses that are not visible in a picture and it makes its easier to remember that particular moment and the little details that really caught our attention at that time, and this is something that Mark Jones has been able to master as he still keeps his sketchbook active.

My sketches are really messy and I would like to try implement Mark's coloured pencil medium to my sketches to try to make them better and I would also like to record my thought, ideas and findings properly in my sketchbook.
