Basically the DIET is almost like the same thing we learned about the LATCH, its a way to organize our work but this time its more focus on analysis which is a little more interesting than the LATCH, for me at least, because i really love analyzing things.

DIET is an amazing way to analyze. Sometimes when you're asked to analyze something, you just start and there are a few things that still remain unclear and that's because you have missed one of the steps in the 'DIET' thing.

D stands for Describe, I stands for Interpret, E stands for Evaluate (which for me is the one that i miss most of the time) and T stands for Theorize (which in my case i confuse  it with interpret).

So once you have all these in mind it's a bit more easier to analyze what you've been given to, because you now have a path to follow and not only analyzing out of the blue and this path makes the information clearer and better and that's also why I've really love DIET.

The teacher then gave us a Dixit cart and told us to apply the DIET on it.

Description

Basically what I can see is several ghosts, with different facial expression, looking at a small growing plant, which is glowing somehow. The place is very dark and the only light around is from the tiny plant which looks like it's on some kind of wooden floor or maybe it's soil. Some of the ghosts look surprised/puzzled, some look greedy or hungry, other's shocked and kind of scared and some worried.

Interpretation

So my interpretation or well, one of them is that maybe that it's the first time the ghost are seeing a plant and some are scared of it, some wants to eat it and some are just lost because they don't even know what to think of it. And the plant is shining because it looks so fascinating in the eyes of the ghosts.

Another interpretation is that probably it's an other dimension where only dead lives and the ghosts can't have any vegetables because it's a world only for dead things. But then recently they discovered a magic power that can make live pass through their dimension and then they decided to try it because they so miss eating vegetables. So yeah, that's why they all have these different shocked expressions and some looks hungry and all that. So they are like waiting for a result after their experience. Also the plant is shining because of the magic power that they used.

Evaluate

So based on the elements in the picture both of the interpretations have good chances of being good but let's say that we're not seeing the plant through the ghosts' eyes but just as it is then the first interpretation does not explain why the plant is glowing and lighting the place up. So based on that, let's reject the first one.

Theorize

Well, let's try to find a dark meaning/representation through this now, this is where the real fun starts. The plant could most probably represent money, I mean green is the color of greed right. So then ghost are people trying everything they can to get the most valuable thing in life, some of them are too greedy to be shocked and some are scared what they did was is good or bad and others they just don't know, they try to reach for it just because it's a necessity but they just don't know what to think of their action as it was neither good nor bad. And also greed makes people become empty just like ghosts.
